David Haynes

David is a research fellow at City, University of London specialising in privacy and personal data security.  He is an experienced consultant having worked in the finance, engineering, pharmaceuticals, and public sectors.  He acts as an advisor to Metataxis on GDPR, Metadata and Information Governance.

As well as research at City, David lectures on Information Management and Data Protection.  He is also an Honorary Tutor at Dundee University where he teaches a Module on Metadata Standards and Information Taxonomies.

David is a Member of the British Computer Society (BCS), a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Library and Information Professionals (CILIP) and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. He is a registered Data Protection Practitioner, and an Advanced Programme Manager.

Guy Johnson

Guy is a data protection and information governance consultant with over 10 years’ experience of working with clients in a range of sectors and regions including Europe, Africa and the Middle East.

He is also a qualified lawyer (solicitor, England & Wales) and practised for several years before moving into consultancy. Guy offers a strong understanding of data protection law combined with practical experience of information management and systems.

Chris Marsh

Chris Marsh has worked in digital media for over 15 years, designing publishing solutions and online experiences for clients such as BBC, Sky, Youview and Cisco. Most recently he was Director of Content Architecture for Pearson International.

Strategic services include single-source authoring, multi-channel publishing, content modelling, content migration, localisation, legacy content conversion, and the design of metadata repositories and content management systems.

Integration with existing repositories, workflows and metadata models is an issue for organisations of all sizes, and Chris has experience of unifying metadata and content production systems, supporting staff through the change management process.

His approach incorporates business analysis, content strategy and user-centred design. He has worked for startups and agencies, developed new products, and won development funding from NESTA and the BBC Innovation Lab.

Emma Steenson

Emma is an experienced Digital Business Analyst with Project Management, Business Transformation, Change Management and Information Governance expertise across IS and IT programmes. As a consultant she has worked with a wide range of organisations from the Bank of England to Microsoft.

She is experienced in leading information compliance projects including Data Protection and Freedom of Information legislation. Emma is a Prince2 Practitioner and certified Change Management Practitioner.

Emma is a liveryman in the Worshipful Company of Information Technologists, and Chairs their Projects & ProBono Panel.

Liz Calder

Liz is a Consultant Business Analyst who specialises in strategic development, information management and change management.

Liz has an Engineering Ph.D. and has spent her career in science and engineering, research and pharmaceutical sectors. She is a member of the International Institute of Business Analysts (IIBA) and is a mentor within their mentoring programme.

Russell Joyce

Russell has many years’ experience of document, records and archive management including records classification, retention scheduling, commercial records storage, contract negotiation and management, policy formulation, systems development and implementation, project management, change management, business analysis, business continuity planning, and staff management.

Helen Lippell

Helen has extensive experience in managing search engines, developing taxonomies and metadata schemes, and carrying out content analysis and text analysis, and has a deep knowledge of search user experience, findability, information architecture, content audits, categorisation, automatic classification, navigation model design, and content modelling.

Richard Collings

Richard is an IT consultant, project manager and business analyst with broad range of expertise, able to work successfully with senior management, users at all levels, technologists, project managers and third party suppliers. He specialises in the third sector.
