New Data Management Framework for UK charity

UK charity maximises information value with new data management framework

09 Dec 22 – National charity chooses Metataxis for Information Architecture project

Metataxis is delighted to be appointed to deliver consultancy support to create a data management framework for a UK national charity.

Including the development of clear data definitions, processes, procedures, and competency frameworks, these key deliverables will support this not for profit organisation with the collection, access and use of their data, in order to maximise value, improve usability and reduce duplication.

Working closely with stakeholders across the charity, this comprehensive data management project is made up of 3 key work packages:

  1. Data foundations – including a data governance framework; data asset register, data domain model and data dictionary
  2. Data models for a range of key services
  3. Data management – made up of a data competence framework and data operating model

Once complete, the new framework will lay the foundations for data management, analysis, and integration, enabling a more unified view of the organisation’s data in the future. It will also support the realisation of benefits from the implementation of the new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platform along with other digital communications tools and dashboards.

Noeleen Schenk, Director at Metataxis explains: “We strongly believe that a governance framework that clearly defines key information and data management principles is essential for the efficient and effective management of an organisation’s information and data, to support its core functions and activities, and to demonstrate compliance with all legal and regulatory obligations. We’re thrilled to be supporting this valued charity with their information governance requirements.”

Metataxis believes that effective information architecture is the key to any successful information (unstructured) or data (structured) project. We work with numerous clients to introduce or adapt structures, semantics, processes and systems for information management, collaboration, findability, and re-use, and have such acquired a wealth of knowledge and experience in designing architectures and models which deliver the required pieces and processes within the constraints of technology.

Metataxis provides information architecture services to help structure and classify information in order to leverage the information’s full value. If you would like to learn more about our information architecture services for your organisation, simply contact us.
