The Celtic Collection: Curating the past, navigating the future – IRMS 2026
Taking place in Wales from 17–19 May 2026, the annual IRMS Conference is *the* go-to event in the information management calendar! This three-day event brings together over 400 practitioners, compliance managers, senior executives and others from a range of organisations across all industry sectors in the UK and beyond. And Metataxis will be there!
In a world where the past informs the future, curating knowledge is both an art and a responsibility. This year’s conference, The Celtic Collection: Curating the Past, Navigating the Future, explores the evolving landscape of records management, information governance and data stewardship through a Celtic lens—honouring heritage, embracing innovation and charting a course toward ethical, sustainable information practices.

The 2026 IRMS conference will feature five session streams, four keynote presentations, 40 sessions and 52 expert speakers. Attendees can expect an unmissable programme of inspirational talks, lively discussions and valuable networking opportunities, all centred around the latest thinking, industry innovations and best practice from world-class organisations.
The vibrant programme includes insightful keynotes from leaders across sectors, alongside practical sessions, real-world case studies and interactive workshops led by practitioners and innovators. Together, participants will explore how the wisdom of the past can guide modern governance, technological transformation and collective accountability.
