Information architecture
Why you need information architecture
An information architecture is a crucial initial step to the successful implementation of any information system. You wouldn’t start building a house without an architecture – the same logic applies to building an information system. Without it, you risk implementing a system that doesn’t meet your organisational or user needs and may end up not delivering enough value.
How we do it
Metataxis has designed and delivered numerous information architectures to a variety of different industries. We know the creation of a successful information architecture requires a comprehensive understanding of your organisation.
This is why we take the time to understand your organisation, look at the information that you currently hold and ascertain the information you want to hold moving forward. Our team of information architects will conduct a discovery and analysis of your content, technology, people, business requirements, and culture with your organisation. We review all relevant collateral, such as business and technical strategies. We talk to key stakeholders on the information they use, how they use it, and what new information they would like to have access to. Gathering of information from stakeholders is via interviews, informal discussions and workshops as needed.
