Metataxis is delighted to have successfully completed the latest Cyber Essentials assessment and is effectively accredited for a second consecutive year.
Cyber Essentials is a government backed scheme managed through the National Cyber Security Centre.
Why become Cyber Essentials certified?
Certification gives us peace of mind that our defences are prepared to protect us against most common cyber attacks, such as phishing, ransomware, malware and other cyber security threats.
Holding a Cyber Essentials certification also demonstrates our proactive stance against malicious cyber attacks. It assures our clients, partners, insurers and others that we have taken the essential precautions to protect Metataxis against cyber threats. And we know that hackers typically seek out companies who do not have the Cyber Essentials technical controls in place.

Cyber crime is on the increase
The UK Government Cyber Security Breaches Survey 2024 reveals that:
- UK businesses faced 7.78 million cyberattacks during 2023
- 50% of UK businesses reported a cyberattack during the last 12 months
- 65,000 registered charities reported a cyber security breach over the last year
- 81% of cyberattacks and data breaches happen to SMEs
- There are an estimated 14.8 cyberattacks against UK businesses every minute
- The UK was the second most targeted country in the world for cyberattacks after the USA
