Meg Shallcrass is one of our Consultants here at Metataxis.
Meg is an experienced consultant, specialising in Information Architecture for Microsoft 365, Records Management and Data Protection. With a diverse background spanning libraries, archives, commercial planning, and data analysis, Meg brings a wealth of experience to every project.
Her expertise lies in stakeholder management and engagement, where she excels at collaborating with international stakeholders at all levels. Meg’s exceptional communication skills enable her to make technical concepts accessible to a wide audience. Notably, she is adept at providing guidance on Microsoft 365 functionality, particularly within SharePoint and the Microsoft Purview (formerly the Security and Compliance Centre).
In her recent projects, Meg has spearheaded Microsoft 365 and Teams-specific implementations, catering to a spectrum of clients from small non-profit organisations to large government departments. Her deep understanding of the intricacies involved in Microsoft 365 implementations empowers clients to navigate decision-making processes seamlessly.
Meg’s early interest lay in data protection and compliance, particularly the initial implementation of GDPR. Working with clients across several different industries, she developed a deep understanding of the impacts of GDPR compliance, and has stayed up to date with developing requirements. A key driver towards compliance is having a solid foundation of effective information management, and many GDPR artefacts are significantly easier to produce and manage if the baseline records management practices are in place. After helping several healthcare logistics and home healthcare clients work towards compliance, Meg’s knowledge of additional compliance and data protection frameworks grew – encompassing NHS Records Management Code of Practice, HIPAA, the GXP framework, and more.
From an information security standpoint, Meg has been involved in a number of ISO 27001 readiness projects, creating policies and procedures, and assessing organisations’ compliance preparedness.
Meg’s track record showcases her ability to deliver comprehensive solutions that align with clients’ needs and goals. With her dedication to excellence and proven expertise in Microsoft 365 information architecture, she remains a valuable asset in driving organisational success.
