Public heritage organisation fully prepared to deploy SharePoint
Metataxis is thrilled to have delivered a comprehensive information architecture framework for a national heritage organisation to help them successfully roll out SharePoint as their new records management system.
This UK public body delivers several services within a number of complex political geographies. The organisation has an excellent in-house information management team who needed some additional support to drive the roll out of their records management plans.
With our records and information management experience, Metataxis was selected via G-Cloud to identify ways to scale up the deployment and adoption of SharePoint across the organisation. We recommended the development of information architecture and standardisation, to facilitate a more consistent and rapid rollout, as well as providing advice on migration and how SharePoint would fit within the wider strategy and governance.
To do this, we created an Information Architecture framework to inform the high-level design of the SharePoint estate. This was then tested in a Proof of Concept which was extremely valuable, as it revealed the key information requirements of the business, as well as identifying other methods and strategies for success, in line with government policies.
This Information Architecture report has presented ways to scale up the adoption of SharePoint and this public sector organisation is now in a good position to roll out SharePoint at scale.
