Metataxis defines clear records management policies and practices

Having recently refreshed and future-proofed their information governance framework, Metataxis is delighted to continue supporting this multinational law firm – now with their records management programme.

Working across different time zones and jurisdictions, this global project will encompass the design and implementation of a records management disposal programme – for both digital and paper formats.

Metataxis will kickstart the project with a comprehensive assessment to ascertain what is currently in place and help identify a retention management tool that will work with the firm’s existing legal case management tool, iManage. The report will also highlight the operating model and governance processes needed to support the selected technology solution used to manage retention across the business.

We will go on to develop a new data retention policy and define clear procedures to ensure compliant client data disposal across the business. These new retention rules will be applied to all new records created as well as existing records, in order to ensure the firm is up to date and compliant with data disposal – and fully prepared to deploy a new retention management system across the globe.

Noeleen Schenk, Director at Metataxis explains:

“Since defining their information governance framework, we are really looking forward to supporting this growing global law practice with their records management programme. Armed with a set of clear, well defined and modern policies and practices, the firm will be ready to successfully roll out their retention management solution worldwide.”
