Comprehensive review delivers key recommendations to drive efficiencies
Metataxis is delighted to have defined and delivered a comprehensive and well-structured information and knowledge management strategy for a UK central government department.
Recognising the challenges the department faced and the need for expert advice surrounding the existing information and knowledge management environment and procedures, Metataxis was approached to review the current situation, make recommendations and subsequently create a strategy for successfully – and compliantly – moving forward.
Our team of knowledge management professionals here at Metataxis kickstarted the project with an extensive discovery exercise. We conducted interviews with a wide variety of stakeholders, uncovering trends, issues and unique challenges, as well as reviewing all the systems, tools, policies and procedures in place.
The valuable exercise enabled us to prepare and deliver a comprehensive report detailing the findings, their consequences and our recommendations to improve the ways this central government department manages their information.
We brought all these compelling results together into a strategy document, which included a staged, actionable roadmap. From putting in place foundations through to exploiting their information assets within a secure and robust information governance framework, the department is now armed and ready to confidently develop and mature their information and knowledge management.
Alex Church, Senior Consultant at Metataxis explains:
“With improved access to the right information, the ability to break down silos and drive collaborative working, as well as mitigating risk by improving compliance with its regulatory and legal obligations, the client will be able to become more effective and efficient in delivering services to colleagues, customers and UK citizens.”
