Defining new strategy for effective records creation, retention and disposal

Metataxis is thrilled to be supporting a national heritage organisation with a new records management strategy to improve compliancy with current legislation.

Since 1907, this national heritage organisation has been collecting and storing archives and records of its history and artifacts. Whilst some departments had already adopted modern archiving practices, many of their disparate archives and records were not stored in a systematic or retrievable manner.

This organisation realised that many of their records were scattered across several sites, stored at various locations and departments, and that they were very much dependant on personal knowledge of what records they had, and where they were stored.

They recognised that they needed expert help with their records management policies and introduce improved ways to become compliant with data protection obligations and other legal and regulatory requirements.

Following a discovery phase with key stakeholders, Metataxis records management experts will identify what records and archives exist, their nature and where they are currently located. We will then go on to prepare a robust set of recommendations for records creation, retention and disposal to help this national heritage organisation meet their archive and record-keeping goals and become compliant with legislation.
