Robust scoping study helps museum adopt modern ways of working

Metataxis is delighted to be supporting a national museum, based in London, with their forthcoming content migration, modernisation and information management improvement plans.

To modernise the workplace, the museum is planning to migrate all legacy shared drive content to SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams. This transition will create a more structured, secure and reliable ways, providing clearer organisation of content, more consistent access for staff, as well as introducing modern tools to better support current and future ways of working.

To ensure the migration plan is well designed, Metataxis is conducting a comprehensive scoping study to assess the museum’s existing information landscape and shape a meaningful migration strategy and roadmap.

As part of the study, we will carry out a series of in-depth interviews with key stakeholders across the museum, including the IT, records management and information security teams, to build an understanding of how information is created, organised, and accessed. We will also identify any challenges staff currently experience when locating, managing or maintaining information.

These valuable insights will feed into a detailed information discovery report, which will define a successful migration strategy and IT roadmap for the museum.
