Accelerating data disposal with clear retention schedule
Metataxis is delighted to be working with a UK independent regulator, helping them significantly improve their records management compliance and data disposal.
Further to the recent lifting of a legal hold related to a Public Inquiry, this UK government agency was looking for records management support to review and revise their current data retention processes and in particular, provide clear and compliant recommendations to effectively manage the disposal of their vast quantity of records.
Metataxis has been commissioned to assess the current records management compliance within the organisation, as well as their existing governance model. We will also undertake a review of the regulator’s internal records management requirements, as articulated in documentation, and measure this against industry standards, in order to formulate a clear set of best practices for compliant records management moving forward.
Our records management experts will also consult with all relevant stakeholders who have an overview of the current records practice, to gain a full understanding of the opportunities and challenges that they are experiencing within the organisation.
In the wake of the public inquiry which had previously placed a hold on all disposal activities for a substantial number of records held, we will also take a deep dive into the regulator’s retention and disposal arrangements, to deliver a comprehensive health check of their retention schedule along with a clear implementation plan. This will enable the organisation to apply a logical, secure and compliant process to confidently manage record and data disposal.
